Salted Egg Potato Chips Taste Test

I’ve been hearing about salted egg crisps first from Symphony of Flavors bakeshop.  It is one of the most popular chip flavors and Singapore snack.  I was hoping to grab some when I passed by Rockwell’s weekend market.  Instead I saw a different and the only brand available.  Miss OC’s Kitchen Salted Egg Chips

It was priced at 295 PHP per can.

I like that the potato chip packaging is sealed with a paper foil to lock in the crispiness.  Chips are solid and crispy.

Each chip has hints of dried salted egg yolk mixed with spiciness and saltiness.  It had dried basil and chili inside.  The only thing I did not like was the sugar in the egg yolk almost similar to Chef Tony’s popcorn.

I thought the egg yolk was supposed to taste salty?

Would I buy this brand again?  Maybe not because of the sweet taste.  However the crispiness of the chip, the herbs and the sealed packaging is great.

Wow this is by far the best salted egg chips I have tried!  It is really addicting.  The taste is not sweet compared to others.  It has a generous amount of salted egg, spices, and the chip is crispy.

It costs 200 PHP per 100 grams
