New Tiendesitas Food Village

Tiendesitas is a unique Filipino themed shopping complex that offers Pinoy’s best! – the best Filipino restaurants in Pasig City, best Philippine made furniture,native snacks, handicrafts, souvenirs, clothes, plants and home accessories.  Best of all, it has one of the biggest pet stores to buy pet food and supplies for your cats, dogs, fish and grooming services.

When it first opened, shops were mostly alfresco, now the shopping villages are slowly being renovated into comfortable air-conditioned areas while keeping the Maranao pavilion theme

What to do in Tiendesitas?

The food village is a popular destination for balikbayans and locals as they offer the best and popular Filipino food choices.  I’m glad that they moved it to the second floor where it is more windy and away from the road.  They added new and colorful chairs, bright vinta decor and lamps making it look like a pinoy fiesta food court. I think employees from call centers in tiendesitas would also dine at the Food Village.

There’s also a stage where different bands can play music at night.

Most stalls have the food displayed ready to serve.  I prefer freshly cooked upon ordering, that’s why we chose to try Mangan Tayo

Sisig with organic egg

The sisig is really tasty and delicious.  I like that they used organic egg as topping.  I only wished it were more crispy.

Spicy fried chicken

A must try!  Tender fried chicken with buttery spicy sauce.

for dessert, we had Puto Bumbong from Ferino’s Bibingka

This is one of my favorite Filipino desserts.  I’m glad that they used real glutinous rice and not the instant mixes.

Tiendesitas Food Village is an affordable and festive place to satisfy your Filipino food cravings.  It can also be a cheap party venue in Pasig where you can enjoy alfresco fiesta style dining with a stage and sound equipment already setup.  It is also a good place to gather for beer and drinks after work among call center employees in Tiendesitas.
