Mandarin Language App

Chinese Language is probably the hardest language to learn. Just learning how to write Chinese involves memorizing each unique character and you can’t cheat your way out by spelling it for there’s no simple way to do so. Aside from the artistic and complicated writing style, pronunciation is also tricky for there are words that you’d assume sound the same but when you change the tone, the meaning is entirely different.

Back in preschool, we were taught Chinese pronunciation using the traditional alphabet and writing system.  You had to know how to read the alphabets so that you’ll be able to pronounce it properly.  It was only during my college years that I have been exposed to ‘pin-yin’ the English counterpart of Chinese alphabets during my study trip to Beijing.

Today, there are many ways to learn Chinese everywhere you go.  For iPhone and iPad users, you can have access to hundreds of podcast lessons and apps ranging from conversation to writing lessons.  If you want to master the art of Chinese pronunciation, one of the most comprehensive apps you can get is “Chinese Phonetics” by JP Studio.

How does Chinese Phonetics work?

Just like what the page says, Chinese Phonetics is a useful pronunciation coach for anyone who wants to master Chinese Mandarin pronunciation.  It features a click-and-hear interface, each sound pronounced by a a Chinese professional.  Here’s a preview of the features available and lessons
