Azucar Boulangerie and Patisserie is a hidden restaurant and bakeshop along 1st street corner Dona Hemady in New Manila, Quezon City.

Pistachio Sans Rival 120 PHP
What we like about this cake
The sweetness in this sans rival recipe is just the right amount. the butter and sugar taste is not overpowering, unlike other sans rival whose icing is oily and has a weird aftertaste.
What we did not like about this cake
The cake was soft and soggy. We were expecting a crunchy texture.
Verdict
While the taste is acceptable. We Still prefer the Pistachio sans rival from Purple Oven for its texture and overall taste.
Strawberry Shortcake 120 PHP
What we like about this cake
I really like this strawberry shortcake recipe cake texture. They also added strawberry juice in between making the cake moist and the sweetness of the strawberry blends so well with the cake and icing. It does not taste sugary sweet.
What we did not like about this cake
None. I like everything about this cake.
Verdict
Highly recommended!

The meat is tender and tasty. Serving is generous. Enough for 2 persons who want snack size meals. I like that it is served with crispy garlic on top of the rice, whole chili with calamansi and atsara.

Final thoughts
Azucar Boulangerie and Patisserie is a simple and quiet place to have good comfort meals, breads, drinks and desserts! They have a wide variety of rice meals, pasta, sandwiches, coffee, unique soda, and tea. It is one of the best strawberry shortcake bake shop near Aurora boulevard. There is even a small room where you can hold an intimate gathering or private meeting or your next food trip. Wifi is also available.
Will I dine here again? Yes definitely.
What needs to improve – accommodating staff. the cashier on that day was a little grumpy and seemed impatient taking orders. Her mood changed when she saw me taking lots of photos and casually mentioned that I will blog about this place.
